Focus on U.S.

The onus is on us to focus on U.S. It’s not an isolationist message, but a message about putting the horse before the cart.

Focus on U.S. writers have lived and traveled abroad and enjoy it thoroughly, but we believe that before the United States can be the best it can be, and before it continues nation-building and proselytizing, the U.S. government must focus on ensuring the right of its people to thrive as healthy, creative, and productive global citizens. Additionally, we are patriots and not nationalists. We believe healthy discourse and is a positive, patriotic way to show love for the U.S.

About the writers:

• Aaron Vehling is a technical editor and former journalist who has taught English in Barcelona, Spain, and Daegu, South Korea. He also loves London.  He lives in the Twin Cities metro area in Minnesota. He and Leah are married. Aaron likes music and spirituality. Church is fun for him.
• Leah DeZiel teaches laughter yoga and is involved in the aerial arts/circus arts. She also taught English in Barcelona, Spain, and Daegu, South Korea. Leah lived and studied in the Castile y Leon region of Spain for five months. Leah also loves London and also likes music and spirituality. Leah is married to Aaron. Church is also fun for her.
